We first want to thank everyone for visiting RawMaMia. RawMaMia is filled with useful information on eating healthy, living a Raw Vegan lifestyle, how to get your children to eat healthier and much more. We are here to help families across the globe learn how to incorporate eating Raw, fruits, veggies, grains, sprouts, nuts and seeds into their diet to achieve optimum health. Providing recipes, support and fun ideas on how to move from a Standard American diet to a healthier lifestyle. 

Mia White’s background –

Mia grew up in Santa Monica, California with her mother and siblings. You could say she grew up in an untraditional lifestyle in the 70’s. They were vegetarians, had an organic garden and ate mostly fruits and vegetables.  Mia grew up in an environment that was natural and supportive. Her childhood promoted growth and centered on healthy living.  At the age of 12 Mia was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. This started her interest in nutritional healing and bodywork. Over the years she has received certificates in Jin Shin, Swedish massage and Acupressure.  She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.  Mia is currently enrolled in school working towards a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Mia has received her training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. Her certification is pending and will be completed in June.  Mia is a working mother and student so she understands how busy life can be. She also understands how important it is to take care of our health and our families. Making it fun and easy for everyone to enjoy and benefit.

 

Mia contributes her passion for life and healthy living to her mother and sister who also live a Raw food lifestyle.  She believes in bringing people together who are on the same path. Mia has taught cooking classes, created individual diet plans for people, lectures and enjoys teaching children about eating raw and living foods.

 

By living consciously we are making a lighter footprint across our planet.
